Here is Jan, me, Stace and Karla, after waiting for Jan for almost an hour. She was working as a Church Health Unit Nurse, and had some situations she had to finish up before we could leave.
The good part about waiting around for an hour is that we were still there when the brethren for the Priesthood session walked in, and happened to see Dad and Mike--so we got a picture with them as well. It was fun to get to visit with them, although we were really almost the only women there by the time we left (other than a few ushers). I saw a man from work there too, on Monday when I got back to work I said to him, "It was nice to see you at the Priesthood session." I got some funny looks from c0-workers--until I explained that we really didn't go to the Priesthood session, but were just still there waiting for Jan.

On Sunday afternoon Jan, Ems, Chelle and I went up together, and it was such a wonderful session. We got to sit on the front row on the side again, and so could see all of the brethren and their wives walking in, and could see the Apostles on the right hand side, and all of the First Presidency. I love watching them, and seeing the love they have for their wives and their brethren. The talks were all so good in that session--and wasn't Elder Holland's talk just amazing? I don't think I've ever heard him give a more powerful talk, and it was so inspiring to be there in person. What a testimony of the Book of Mormon! I just felt the spirit so strongly during this whole Conference, and felt such a desire to be a better person and more worthy of all of the blessings that God has given to me.
But I have to say that my favorite moment of Conference was as the First Presidency were walking out. Because of where our seats were, they walked right in front of us, maybe ten feet away. President Monson stopped right in front of our seats, and called up a little boy from the audience. It's hard to tell from this picture, but he had one of the security guards lift the little boy up onto a ledge so that he could reach him. Then he talked to him about how yellow was his favorite color, and he was so glad he was wearing a yellow coat. He told him to make sure and go on a mission. It was so precious!
Then he had another boy come up--we heard President Uchtdorf tell President Monson that it was his grandson. He said to him, "Oh! You are wearing a yellow tie! I'm so glad!" Then he took his hands and talked to him about going on a mission. As the security guards were lifting him down from the ledge, he quipped, "Make sure not to drop him!" It was just such a touching and sweet thing to see the Prophet of God ministering to two little boys right in front of us, and to be so close to him that we could hear what he was saying. We felt so grateful to be able to be a part of that moment. Another sweet thing: after all of the brethren left, Sister Julie B. Beck, the General Relief Society President, came to the security rope that was right in front of our row, and asked to see a little girl in the audience. I guess that from where she was on the stand, she could see that this little girl had wanted to go up and see the Prophet, and was really sad that she hadn't been able to. So Sister Beck hugged her and talked to her--we couldn't hear what she was saying, but it was so sweet. I love our leaders--they are such good and Christlike people!

They panned that side of the audience after one of the sessions and I wondered if you were there. I guess you were! Lucky!
