During lunchtime today my coworker Donna and I walked again. This time we walked up to Memory Grove, and were going to go to City Creek Canyon, but decided to take a little path up the mountain--it was REALLY steep, with a bunch of switchbacks, and we kept saying we were going to turn back, but finally made it to the top, and saw some beautiful views, especially with the fall colors in Memory Grove. Here are some pictures (descriptions are underneath the pictures):
Off to the right, as you are walking through Memory Grove, is this bell and little Roman looking buildings.
And lo and behold, to the left is Memorial House, where my parents had their wedding reception. I saw it the first time we walked up this way--I never knew where it was. I just had to snap a picture. I love you Mom and Dad! Let's have your 50th here for old times sake!
Here's the view from the first switchback as we started walking up the mountain (and boy, were my legs burning!!) You can see Memorial House down below the State Capital.
And we finally made it to the top. I am going to be sore tomorrow!
Okay, I know this is a long post. But just a few more pictures. Tonight our Primary Presidency went up to Gardner Village for one last hurrah before we get released this Sunday (I hope no one in my ward is reading this, but if so, I guess they would have found out in a few days anyway). I love these women--they have done so much to help support me, and have always taken on whatever is needed. We had so much fun tonight--we went to Witchapalooza, and it ended up being a musical with lots of audience interaction . We sure had fun. I'll end with more pictures.
(Table picture, left to right: me, Tara, Malia, and Bri)
And to those of you who got me into blogging, you're in trouble--because it is now 11:00, and I should have been in bed an hour ago. What can I say? I'm hooked!

You are so fun! I loved all the pictures. You know me I am a photo addict. (corilee do they have something for that ;) ) anyways I think it would be a blast having mom and dad's anniversary there. And then To have it in November where the snow will be falling gently and the sweet smell of fall and winter in the air....... oh wait okay back now from my dream land.
Well I hope you had fun at gardner village I love their soups.
Love ya, and can't wait to see you on Sunday then again on Monday :D HOORAY!!!!
There's a neat little path that leads up to the State Capitol building on the west side of Memory Grove. It starts out as a long flight of nice stairs and then turns in to a path that isn't quite so hard as the one you took on the east side of the canyon. You should try it next time.
Looks like you have more than three readers to me, Jenn! I loved the pictures of Memory Grove. I've heard of it, but have never been there.
Fun pics for a fun night! Although I do look a touch crazy in that last photo! :)
